In this episode of God’s Troll Army, we’re doing something a little different: no trolls, no rage-bait, no dunk compilation. Just… wholesome atheist content. Yeah, I know. I’m scared too.
I’m circling back to a previous video where I responded to Rhett McLaughlin’s “Why can’t you just stop talking about Jesus?” moment — and this time, I’m focusing entirely on your comments. From deconstruction stories and abusive “relationships with Jesus,” to people who’ve never believed but feel surrounded by Christian dominance, these replies paint a powerful picture of why atheist voices matter and why we don’t simply “move on.”
Along the way, we talk about:
Why ex-believers often talk more about God after they stop believing
How threats of hell, shunning, and religious gaslighting still shape people’s lives
The loneliness of deconstructing when everyone around you is still “all in”
Why criticizing religion isn’t “hate” — it’s often basic self-defense
How atheist / ex-Christian channels become a lifeline for people who feel completely alone
If you’re deconstructing, doubting, or just tired of being told to “shut up about Jesus,” I hope this one makes you feel a little less isolated and a lot more seen.

Channel memberships are how I keep Skepticus going and give you a voice in what I cover next. If you want to be one of my “advisers,” check out the membership options and come yell at me with love from the inside.
Until next time — lo, I say unto you: stay skeptical.
