🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 27 miles south along Interstate 675 from Medway to Miamisburg, Ohio — circling Dayton’s eastern suburbs on the region’s principal beltway route.
The video begins at I-70 on the northeastern side of the Dayton metropolitan area, where I-675 starts its broad sweep around the eastern side of the city. From the interchange, the highway heads south through the communities and suburban areas east of Dayton, providing an important connection between I-70, the eastern suburbs, and destinations along the southern side of the metropolitan area.
Continuing south, Interstate 675 passes through the Fairborn and Beavercreek areas, where the corridor becomes increasingly developed. Interchanges provide access to major local and regional roads serving Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Wright State University, shopping districts, residential neighborhoods, and the extensive commercial development surrounding Beavercreek. Despite the suburban setting, portions of I-675 remain bordered by wooded areas and open roadside spaces, giving the highway a noticeably different character from the more heavily urbanized interstate corridors closer to downtown Dayton.
South of Beavercreek, I-675 continues through the eastern and southeastern suburbs of the Dayton area. The route passes connections serving Kettering, Centerville, Washington Township, and surrounding communities while maintaining its limited-access freeway character. Traffic and development become denser around the major interchanges, with stretches of trees and gently rolling terrain separating many of the commercial areas. The highway serves both local commuters and through traffic seeking to travel between I-70 and I-75 without passing directly through central Dayton.
The final portion of the drive carries Interstate 675 southwest through the Centerville and Miamisburg area. Here, the freeway gradually approaches the Great Miami River corridor and the heavily traveled southern side of the Dayton region. The drive begins in Tupelo as Interstate 22 merges from the Natchez Trace Parkway interchange. Almost immediately, the route crosses U.S. Highway 45 at a full cloverleaf, providing connections north toward Corinth and south toward Columbus. Leaving Tupelo behind, I-22 travels eastward across the rolling hills of northeastern Mississippi, serving the towns of Fulton and Tremont before reaching the Alabama state line. This section highlights the relatively new construction of I-22, a modern corridor built to provide a high-speed link between Memphis and Birmingham along the historic U.S. 78 alignment.
Crossing into Alabama, the highway takes on a more southeasterly direction just before Hamilton, offering access to U.S. Highway 278 and Alabama Highway 13. From here, the route threads through the Appalachian foothills, passing wooded ridges and valleys on the approach to Jasper, one of the larger communities along the corridor. South of Jasper, I-22 shifts more directly toward Birmingham, skirting Cordova before intersecting U.S. Highway 78 near Graysville. Beginning at the junction with Arkansas Highway 9 in Mammoth Spring, the route immediately places travelers near the famous Mammoth Spring State Park. This natural landmark, with its impressive flow of nearly nine million gallons per hour, forms the Spring River and has long been a focal point for the community. The drive begins just south of this scenic area, heading southwest out of town along a well-traveled corridor that connects local traffic with regional through routes.
Leaving Mammoth Spring, U.S. 63 winds gently through rolling wooded terrain that typifies the Ozarks. The highway follows alongside the Spring River in places, providing glimpses of its clear waters, which are popular with canoeists, anglers, and vacationers. The road is a blend of forested curves and open stretches, with occasional roadside businesses catering to both locals and tourists. This corridor traces the path of Tennessee’s first state highway, a key link that pre-dates the interstate system. Before I-40 was built, this was the primary road between Brownsville and Memphis, carrying everything from local farm traffic to cross-state travelers. Communities like Stanton, Mason, and Gallaway grew up along its shoulders, and while modern bypasses have reduced through-traffic, the road retains much of its original two-lane character.

This drive begins at the interchange with Interstate 820 on the northeast side of Fort Worth, where Texas Highway 183 serves as an important connector for both local traffic and regional travelers. Heading east, the highway quickly moves into the Mid-Cities area, where the communities of Hurst and Bedford line the corridor with a mix of suburban neighborhoods, business centers, and retail hubs. Along this stretch, travelers cross the major interchange with State Highway 121, a key link toward Grapevine, Lewisville, and the northern suburbs.
Continuing into Euless, the roadway enters a heavily traveled area that provides direct access to Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport. Here, the highway intersects Texas 360, another major north–south route through the Metroplex. The drive concludes at the ramp to Spur 97, the dedicated connector into DFW Airport itself. While not the longest highway stretch, TX-183 is an essential artery for the region, balancing local commutes with international travel access.
