Your #JSO Department of Corrections is recognizing a group of incarcerated veterans who have graduated from our Restored Valor program.
During this 8-week program, inmates learn practical tools and techniques to help them succeed after their sentence. Part of the curriculum involves exploring their trauma, and the root cause of it, and helping the inmate tackle the trauma head on. The goal? Prepare inmates for life after their sentence and help ensure they’re never behind bars again.
This is just one cohort of Restored Valor inmates; we’ve run this program with Operation Barnabus three times in our corrections department, and we’ll continue to offer it to inmates who served our country.
