In this Subnautica 2 exploration video, I turn off the fog effects, enable no-clip, and take a closer look at the terrain around the Alien Power Plant to see how the area is built and whether there may be room for future caves, hidden routes, or new content in later Early Access update patches.

This is not a normal survival route or standard gameplay tutorial. This is a no fog / no-clip map design deep dive where we explore the terrain, layout, boundaries, and hidden structure of the Alien Power Plant region. By removing fog and clipping through terrain, we can see parts of the world that are normally hidden by atmosphere, darkness, collision, and map design.

In this video, I look around the Acid Pools area, the Alien Power Plant, the Alien Observatory, and the eastern edge of the current map. The goal is to study how Unknown Worlds designed this part of Subnautica 2, how the terrain fits together, and whether any areas around the Power Plant look like they could support future cave systems or expanded map content.

The Acid Pools are one of the most interesting areas to inspect because they already feel connected to deeper progression, rare resources, strange terrain, and alien activity. With fog turned off and no-clip enabled, it becomes easier to look under, around, and behind the terrain to see how the area is shaped. This makes it easier to guess whether future patches could add more cave paths, resource chambers, hidden tunnels, or story-related spaces.

The Alien Power Plant itself is also worth examining because it is one of the biggest alien structures currently available in Subnautica 2 Early Access. By exploring around it from different angles, we can see how it sits in the world, how much empty space surrounds it, where the terrain rises and drops, and what areas might eventually be expanded or connected to new content.

I also take a look around the Alien Observatory, another major alien point of interest in the area. Since the Observatory and Power Plant are both important alien structures, it makes sense to inspect the terrain between them and around them to see how these locations may connect with future story updates, cave systems, or map expansions.

Finally, I show what the eastern edge of the map looks like. Map edges in Early Access games can be especially interesting because some areas look obviously unfinished, while others have more shape, structure, or detail than expected. The more detailed an area looks, the more likely it may be used later, though nothing shown here should be treated as confirmed future content.

This video is mostly a general-purpose exploration of the world design and layout used by the Unknown Worlds team to build an interesting, immersive alien ocean. It is also a fun way to speculate about where future Subnautica 2 content could go, especially around the Alien Power Plant, Acid Pools, Observatory, and eastern map boundary.

Important note: this video uses no fog and no-clip for exploration and testing. Anything seen behind terrain, under the map, or at the edge of the playable world may be unfinished, placeholder, or subject to change in future updates.
