Remote ID Module for $39 CubePilot

In this video I will discuss a remote ID module for $39, the CubePilot. The CubePilot remote ID module is available for $39 and is 1" by 0.5" and weights 10 grams. Still waiting for FAA approval (FCC and CE approvals are already done).

I do wish to emphasize that I am just reporting on the CubePilot as something I saw during research on remote ID. There is still a LOT that anyone needs to do to get this fully working . . . it is by no means "plug and play." Here is one viewer's comment:

"I purchased the Cube I. D. module. When it arrived I found it had absolutely no instructions. Absolutely nothing. I signed on to their website in hopes of finding something. Nothing could be found on setup, instillation, or operation. All I found was pages of similar complaints. I sent it back for a refund, which has yet to arrive. Any comments or suggestions? Thank you for what you do. I have come to look forward to your videos for straight forward and concise information."

My overall theme is the FAA remote ID program is here to stay for a variety of safety and national security reasons.

Many people are concerned with the price of a remote ID module. I discuss the overall trajectory of the cost of radio control flight (going down), and I believe this will translate into the remote ID modules.

I discuss as well the crucial role the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) plays in discussions with the FAA on the final remote ID ruling.

I will also go into detail on the FAA Final Rule on remote ID. This document, sighed out to Congress, is 470 pages long. In short, remote ID is here to stay.
