What if you need to improve ONLY the color and sharpness of a SPECIFIC structure within an image, such as just the blue-white filaments in the thumbnail? The best solution is more integration time, but if you can't get it, you can find the color channel where that information is strongest, create a single-color master from it, and add it back to the image. But to avoid artifacts, it must be done with finesse. (Please be aware this is an expert level technique and presumes you are already familiar with developing astrophotography.)
