Regency LX with Mood Glow uplight 60" ceiling fan in antique brass, demonstrated with Regency's integrated Select Touch remote wall control. Pretty much the same setup as the original video and no real updates, other than I chose to try one of my NOS 60" blade sets with it. I hate how fast the integrated low speed is on this control system, so what better way to slow it down than adding some extra weight and drag? It's still too fast on low, and kind of makes the higher speeds look less impressive, but the airflow is actually pretty good. This is one of the few standard old school models that can really carry the 60" look well, in my opinion. Its larger, bulkier housing proportions are a bit more attuned to a larger blade span, as opposed to something like a Marquis or something in the MX realm which can look a little odd as you get up past 56". This model/style has never been one of my favorites from Regency, but a nice classic finish like this one made it grow on me, and now I'm maybe even more into it with the larger blades. Seems to have a more pronounced hum installed in this studio space, I think it ran pretty quietly before, but even so not the most bothersome. Of course I love the uplights; I always think that's such a cool feature wherever implemented, and am excited to see some newer products implementing them again this year. It will never not be classy.
