In this video, a number of colleagues of the British choreographer Antony Tudor discuss his life and work. Those interviewed include Dame Marie Rambert, Agnes de Mille and ballerina Maude Lloyd.
What seems particularly are the discussions of the relation of Tudor’s choreography to the music he uses.
For example, Agnes de Mille says “He danced the phrases, the larger patterns in the music, and not the rhythm. His work is never counted out. You move on the impulses, like water.”
