I wanted to write a story for each song on "Sampler Platter" and I love how bouncy this track feels. At first, I had a soul sample in there, but it just wasn’t sitting right with the vocals, so I swapped it out for a piano loop instead. Pharrell’s original beat is already so funky and full of life, and I wanted to keep that same energy in the remix. The way they floated over the piano was crazy, and once Beyoncé came back in after JAY-Z, it just felt right, like the track was meant to be this way.
