I wanted to write a story for each song on "Sampler Platter" and this one was an interesting journey. Drake was actually part of the project before the whole beef with Kendrick went down, and the original beat was completely different. While cleaning out my hard drive, I stumbled across this Astro Boy PS2 beat, and on a whim, I tried layering the acapella, minus Drake, over it. Once the demo was done, it just slapped. It’s not my first time sampling Travis or Migos, but man, they always bring a certain energy that just hits.
