If we asked the average Christian who attends a Church of 50 or more people to tell us about their spiritual gifts and how they are using those gifts in the Body of Christ, most would have no idea and simply reply, 'that’s what we pay the pastor to do'. Sadly, the vast majority of Christians are mere spectators, who never discover or exercise their role as disciples. This is one of the main reasons that many Christians are turning to House Churches in order to live by the Early Church model for discipleship.
In this first video regarding house churches I examine the question of 'why start and house church' and give my own personal journey from seekers groups in my home, to the establishment of house churches.
