After servicig this 1982 flagship handheld (GRE Japan 1982), it was time to test it. These are 3.5W radios, this one is doing 3.1W which is in spec. Low power was 170mW which is also in spec.

Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile test route, the 'wrong side' of a hill. He stopped at the five mile point for a low power static test. The radio was set for 3.1W on full power & 0.17W (170mW) on low power. The built-in mike was used throughout.

Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio (and new mike) which is fitted to the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' marker on this video.
