After repairing & re-aligning this 1982 Maxon built set in the previous video, it was time to test it.

Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile test route, the 'wrong side' of a hill. He stopped at the five mile point to test this set as a static test.....these sets don't have the usual low power feature, norr do the 2001 & 3001. The radio was set for 4.0W for full power. Our own standard replacementl mike was used throughout. At the end, the factory original mike was demonstrated through to our base station

Our Continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio (and new mike) which is fitted to the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' marker on this video.
