Ray Stevens, pop singer-songwriter and comedian, is best known for comedic hits such as “Jeremiah Peabody's Polyunsaturated Quick-Dissolving, Fast-Acting Pleasant-Tasting Green and Purple Pills," "Ahab the Arab," "Gitarzan" and "The Streak." He has worked also as a studio musician, producer, music arranger, and was a regular on The Andy Williams Show during 1969–1970 before he became television host of The Ray Stevens Show in 1970. In a CBC Vancouver TV series in the early 1970s, he sang his #1 Grammy Award winning song “Everything is Beautiful,” followed by “Turn Your Radio On.”
