Band clamps are great—but they’re also expensive and kind of overrated. When I needed one to glue up a set of miter joints, I almost bought another $20 clamp… until I looked over at a ratchet strap I already had.
In this video, I’ll show you how to turn a basic ratchet strap into a full-on ratcheting band clamp—with no glue, no tools, and no sewing. We’ll even take a look at those little plastic corner pieces most of them come with—and why I think they’re more trouble than they’re worth.
