Very casual cheek swatches of the new Rare Beauty soft pinch luminous blushes.
Pls ignore my red nose, allergies have been kicking my ass.
These are $26 each and the brand claims that they’re a hybrid between a powder blush and their silky touch highlighter.
My experience is that these are way too shimmery to be a blush, and way too pigmented to be a highlighter. They emphasize texture due to the metallic nature of the formula, so I’d recommend this to people who either have extremely smooth skin, or don’t mind the texture-emphasizing effect.
I also found the deepest shades extremely difficult to blend despite only applying a tiny bit, tapping off excess, and blending some on the back of my hand. It’s just not a formula I find flattering in any way.
I do have friends with great skin who tried this and the product looked really good on them, but on my acne prone skin… it’s a pass for me.
The last cheek swatch I showed was the blush in cheer layered over their liquid blush in hope, and that’s the most flattering way to wear it IMO - as a blush topper. I don’t personally see the value in purchasing a product solely to be a blush topper but we’re all different!
