I recently received my Rapido pre-order for the latest run of the SW-9 switcher locomotives, and of course I had to get a L&N one. I got mine with DCC/Sound, it also features what they call a “MoPower” capacitor that helps the engine along through dirty track and switches. This is helpful for switching cars. The sound right of the box was a bit loud, so I will need to turn that down, but overall, very detailed model which is expected from a Rapido product, maybe a bit too detailed. I had to snip off the front air hose detail as it would snag on switches. In real life, it would make for a very big inconvenience for a conductor or brakeman for when he goes to “make the air” between the cars only to find the air hose missing. Overall though, great job by Rapido.
