On a humid October day, we decided to follow the Reading & Northern #425 on the annual Autumn Leaf Excursions. This year however, the train would be leaving from the Reading & Northern's new Reading "Outer Station", in North Reading, PA. The engine sounds great and as always puts on a fine show.
We'll even see a few extra trains, including the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Train meeting the steam train at Nesquehoning Junction. Look closely as switch-tender John "hoops up" orders to each crew. After the steam train, the Hometown High Bridge train follows behind.
We follow the train west, before leaving it at Port Clinton, PA.
