On a recent trip to Boston I stayed on the outskirts of town in Dedham. My plan Monday was to walk the Freedom Trail in downtown. Rather than battle with commute traffic and parking, I decided to ride the “T” Franklin Line into town. Luckily there was a station just a couple of blocks away from my hotel. Using my Canon ELPH camera, I caught a southbound CSX freight pulled by an EMD GP40-2 while waiting for my train. On the return trip, I caught one inbound commuter run pushed by a MK F40PH-2C and one outbound commuter run powered by a GE P32AC-DM.
