On my way back to Tahoe after visiting the Virginia and Truckee Railroad back in May, I stopped at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. It was Memorial Day Weekend and they were running steam around their short loop track. The train would depart the depot, make two loops around the inner circle before taking the wye at the north end of the grounds. The locomotive would run around the train and then pull the train back to the station. This maneuver resulted in the locomotive pulling the train stack first one trip and tender first the next.
