It’s been over a year since I visited Alviso at the south end of San Francisco Bay. Union Pacific’s Coast Subdivision passes through this area between Oakland and San Jose. Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor trains (Sacramento to San Jose) and Altamont Corridor Express trains (Stockton to San Jose) share the tracks. A morning visit can yield up to 8 trains between 7am and 10am. If it’s on schedule, the southbound Coast Starlight will also make an appearance during that time. On this morning I caught four Capitol Corridor and 3 ACE trains. My apologies for the wind noise. The first two trains were shot in an exposed location. Enjoy!
