Kelly and guest Amanda Woodruff are real-life friends, and Kelly loves buying fabric from Amanda's shop. This month, the pair remix Cat's Cradle by Lynn Roddy Brown. Their quilts don't look like they were inspired by the same original quilt, but that's part of the fun! Kelly searched on the internet for the block with the same name as the original quilt and decided to use that block with cat-themed fabrics. Amanda liked the negative space between the blocks in the original quilt and sketched that into her own original blocks, laid out in more of a traditional manner with sashing and cornerstones, which with the white block background and white sashing still looks very modern.
