On January 25th, 2015, Penn Rail Videos was set up along the NS Reading Line at Klines Lane in Emmaus for NS Train 38G. Now earlier in the morning, we noticed a CN unit facing west in Allentown yard, and old habits indicated that this may lead 38G. As we heard 38G call the 33 signal, we then heard the haunting sound of a Nathan K3L, which meant that a Canadian unit was on its way. Through the trees we could see the train rounding the bend at Harrison Street, and a faded-red cab and high mounted bell came into view. Listen to argueably one of the nicest sounding horns still in mainline service, as CN 2403 - a GE C40-8M "cowled unit" leads 38G upgrade past our camera. Behind it were two NS SD70s, and all three engines are working hard to get the long train up the grade as it heads west.
