About these exercises ⬇️

1. Your favorite SOVT sound - that can be a lip trill, pufferfish, raspberry, straw… you pick!
2. A light (even slightly breathy) hoo sound - if you’ve been belting a lot, this will balance your voice out by getting into your head voice. Only go as high as feels comfortable!
3. Vocal Fry Fade - going in and out of vocal fry - this is great if you’ve been working out your head voice a ton. Go as low as feels comfortable with this exercise.
4. Relaxed Sighs - just sigh through your voice and check in with your facial muscles to make sure they’re all relaxed - your forehead, temples, jaw, under-tongue-floor, etc.

And that’s it!

The best part is, it only takes 5 minutes to go through this cool down routine!

Coach Emily from our team walked me through the whole routine so if you want to practice along with us go check out our most recent episode on From Singer To Artist: youtu.be/UhYpJaAoyuY

After the routine we also went into what exactly to pay attention to and why we’re doing these exercises to cool down your voice after a heavy vocal day.

Do you ever cool down your voice or is this a new concept for you?

x Lara
