It all comes down to this ⬇️
Does your kid want it?
Or are you the one who wants your kid to do it?
If the desire comes from your kid, enroll them when they ask (if possible of course).
If the desire comes from you more than your kid, it’ll be very hard for us coaches to keep their attention at a young age because their heart isn’t really in it.
Then you get frustrated because you’re spending money and the kid isn’t as applied as you want them to be and the coach is struggling because they want to create good memories surrounding music for the kid, not stressful ones.
The doesn’t mean that you should never enroll your kid in voice lessons if they’re not asking for it…
They might not know that it’s an option!
But I would probably wait till they’re 10ish years old to give it a shot and see if they like it or not.
That’s the age where voice lessons really become more like actual voice lessons and not just over all music lessons.
