Here’s how to properly warm up your voice in just 5-10 minutes ⬇️

1. Start with an SOVT exercise: Lip trills, puffer fish, raspberry, humming… and just slide through your whole COMFORTABLE range. No need to push your voice yet!

2. Explore your head voice: Especially if you’re a bottom heavy singer (like me 🙋🏼‍♀️) it’s important to stretch out your head voice.

3. Open up to “ee” or “uh” sounds: These are still quite closed, just to make sure you’re not pushing too much volume and power too quickly. It’s nice to add some agility elements here too to keep your voice flexible.

4. Open up to any sounds - including “ah”: Here you can explore more power and volume on more open vowel sounds.

And that’s it! After that you’re ready for your gig or practice session!

We have warm up tracks that you can download to make this easier… Go check those out!
