This year, we opted to put our Christmas lights on the garden railroad structures instead of our home. No ladders are needed, and it is much safer for us "elderly" folks.

And as our garden railroad is elevated on wood benchwork, there is no need, or rather little need, to crawl around on the ground. So look over our how-to video on making and hanging scale Christmas lights on a model railroad!
