Chris talks about how evidence works in central #government.
Many academics wrongly believe that when evidence comes out, then policy changes. In reality, at certain moments of time the window of opportunity for an area to change opens and then closes again, often within 3-6 months.
While there is no chance of doing serious research in that time, researchers can get through in that window everything that is known at that point of time. As such, it's very important when conducting research, that researchers accumulate substantial evidence so when the opportunity arises they can go for it.
