Finance Minister Katy Gallagher has said Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has faced “unfair” criticism over his purchase of a $4.3 million coastal home purchase.

“He and Jodie are entitled to buy a house and start their lives together,” Ms Gallagher told Sky News Australia.

“His focus 100 per cent of the time is on cost of living and housing for other people … and making sure we’re doing whatever we can to get the supply of housing where it needs to be.”
