KiwiRail is offering its staff voluntary redundancy in a move aimed at reshaping the business.

A number of teams have been offered redundancy already and it’s now been extended to all staff in a bid to save costs.

Earlier this month the transport operator announced it would cut more than 50 roles within its Interislander’s operational staff and head office.

Staff had two weeks to apply and a final list of accepted applicants will be decided by early November.
