So I decided to watch back my 'Rabbit Race Shenanigans' video, and realised that whilst you were not warped to the Race start in the 'Entering Portal' animation, I wondered whether this could potentially lead to Portal Skew if you got damaged out of the animation.
First of all, we gain control during the 'Try Again?' text which appears when you fail the Rabbit Race. This is done by taking a warp during the Rabbit win text. From here, we need to enter the Cannon to the Clock at JUST the right time. This gives us full control during the prompt and allows us to manipulate stuff with this.
See this for more of that: youtube.com/watch?v=vv7WRA1YCY4&t=45s
From here, we throw an orange and enter the portal. If thrown correctly, the orange will damage us out of the animation, at which point, we can press A to retry the race before we get pulled into the portal destination. This will deload the portal, and warp us to the start of the race with a skewed angle.
Reloading the portal will automatically take us to the portal destination. So this also doubles up as a method of portal storage.
This video also contains 'No Tools' in the title because before this, the only way to get a maintained portal skew was to use tools to move us away from the portal so it wouldn't instantly reload.
