African Crested Porcupines naturally lose their quills similar to how humans shed their hair. Over the last year or so, I have collected the quills Mawenzi and Kibo (pet porcupines) have naturally lost. We used these different sized quills to create fun porcupine quill picture frames to hang around the house. Of course, Mawenzi and Kibo helped us too!
