African Crested porcupines are nocturnal, which means they love to go outside at night and roam around. When they raise their quills and start grunting as they run around, I like to say they are “going porcupine!” They are getting all of their energy out, similar to how dogs have the zoomies. I absolutely love sitting outside at night and watching the porcupines roam around while I listen to the sounds of nature and look up at the stars…what could be better!
