Every morning I am lucky to be greeted by Mawenzi, my African Crested Porcupine. She meets me at the door, licks my hands, and then we sit together while she eats breakfast. Today she is enjoying rodent block that I put inside a horn as part of her enrichment. She also eats a lot of fruits and vegetables. Her favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes! Her teeth are always growing, so she loves to chew. Chewing on conifer branches like the spruce tree is a favorite activity of hers.
