At the beginning of the 17th century, amidst the internal crisis of the Tsardom of Moscow, known as the Time of Troubles, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth carried out a series of military interventions that brought Moscow to the brink of national catastrophe. From the ambitions of Prince Władysław to the capture of Moscow and the siege of key fortresses – this was a period when the future of Eastern Europe was decided on the battlefields.

In this video, we will thoroughly examine the preconditions and main stages of the Polish intervention in the Tsardom of Moscow. We will trace the campaigns of Polish-Lithuanian troops, the actions of the Zaporozhian Cossacks led by Hetman Sagaidachny, and the defense of Smolensk.
