The Seven Years' War, or the French and Indian War, as it’s commonly known in the USA, is the first global war in which the great powers of its time clashed. It’s also known in different countries as the Pomeranian War, The Third Silesian War, the War of the Conquest. During the seven years of this conflict, the balance of power in Europe has changed significantly. Great Britain consolidated its colonial pursuits and gained India and Canada while weakening France. Prussia asserted itself on the international arena, supplanting the Habsburg Austria, which was trying to preserve the remnants of its power after the War of the Austrian Succession. The British dominated the territory of North America, which soon led to the struggle of the colonies for independence.
This war is remembered for its global scale, strong leaders and outstanding battles. In this video, we will take a detailed look at the battles and events on all continents during the long years of the first global war.
