Our male polar bear ‘Yellé’ is looking bear-y comfortable perching in the plunge pool of the Taylor Family Foundation Polar Bear Sanctuary! You might be surprised to see Yellé crunching on a carrot, but while polar bears are considered carnivorous, their stomachs can process an omnivorous diet and polar bears even eat berries and seaweed in their native Arctic habitat! In addition to a nutrient and mineral rich diet of fruits and vegetables, Yellé also eats a variety of meats and seafood. 😋
