Do you clam up at the sight of mollusks? Our male grizzly cub ‘Fitz’ sure doesn’t! 🦪

Grizzly bears are known for being opportunistic feeders, and their long claws are perfect for helping them to dig up and pry open clams. 🐻 Their incredible sense of smell helps them to sniff out these salty snacks under the sand in coastal areas. Thanks to the close collaboration between our Animal Nutrition team and the dedicated grizzly care team, we’re delighted to see moments of our grizzly cubs trying new things and enjoying enriching experiences.
