A new story unfolds in the world of Pokémon. This chapter takes place in the Unova region, set two years after Hilbert and his Pokémon have defeated Team Plasma and shattered their goals. The spotlight shines on a young girl named Rosa, who lives in Aspertia City. After her mother receives a call from Professor Juniper, saying that Bianca, her assistant, has arrived in the area, she and her close friend Hugh look around the city for the girl. After a bit of small talk, Rosa chooses her first partner Pokémon. Before she can set out in proper, though, she is challenged to a Pokémon battle by Hugh, who uses his own first partner Pokémon, which he has raised from an Egg.
Hugh:
This boy is close friends with Rosa and seeks to travel the Unova region in the hopes of finding something important. Deciding that Rosa is someone he can trust to aid him, he decides to test her strength.
Tepig:
This Pokémon is Hugh's first partner, having been raised from an Egg. Being on the same level as the Pokémon that Rosa chose, it knows Tackle and Tail Whip.
