The 30th anniversary campaign asks you who’s your favorite—mine changes, and there are too many I’m really fond of to decide, so here is a breakdown based on type:
Normal: Furfrou
Fire: Fennekin
Water: Tatsugiri (Curly)
Grass: Exeggutor (Alolan)
Electric: Pincurchin
Ice: Glaceon
Psychic: Meowstic (Mega)
Rock: Minior
Ground: Flygon
Fighting: Falinks
Poison: Grafaiai
Bug: Vivillon
Flying: Celesteela
Ghost: Cursola
Dragon: Goodra
Dark: Overqwil
Steel: Mawile (Mega)
Fairy: Iron Valiant
I don’t feel like I need a reason for liking them. I just like how they look.
Type: Double Battle
Opponent: さり (Sari)
Battle Court: Cabo Poco

My Pokémon: Enamorus (Therian), Allen (Sandy Shocks), Amanda (Weavile), Mortimer (Magmortar)
Opponent’s Pokémon: マフォクシー (Delphox), ミライドン (Miraidon), バンバドロ (Mudsdale), サーフゴー (Gholdengo)
My own approach to Delphox also involves the use of items, but as you may have seen in a few of my videos, it’s about making full use of the Ability Magician. When the Pokémon isn’t holding an item, when it attacks another Pokémon, it’ll take their item. This one, however, uses Switcheroo, a pretty unusual strategy, and likely backfired because, frankly, I use pretty unusual strategies myself. By then, though, they’ve made their move selections and committed to them, so Miraidon’s out of commission from the get-go.
In hindfsight, I could see why they didn’t switch out Delphox: they had to bring up Mudsdale, but their only other Pokémon was Gholdengo, whom they knew would’ve eaten a knockout Earth Power as it’s switching in, hence losing Gholdengo before it could do anything. Less obvious was the lack of Terastallization; my guess is that they’re not types well-suited for the situation at hand. Certainly, there have been matches where I do not use Terastallization because it’ll make my own side of the board worse. (Not this one though. I think I needed this one to deal with Mudsdale, the original user of Stamina.)
