I deposit Emboar, Larvesta, and Reshiram in the PC and takeout Ducklett and Watchog. Time to head to an even further expanded Relic Castle where Professor Juniper awaits. She gives you a Ragecandybar, used to wake up the Zen Mode Darmanitan outside. Head down to where you found Ghetsis here and a mound of sand to the E reveals a new area.
The grunt in here has a level 64 Krookodile, a decent jump up from the Elite Four. This area may have been intended for later, but it doesn't matter. Haxorus at +2 demolishes it. Head through and head all the way W and all the way up for the Earthquake TM, which gives Haxorus a little more bite.
Now head down the stairs and E into the main chamber then take the following exits, S,E,S,E,E. You'll find a Sage who gives you the Calm Mind TM and Looker will apprehend him. Head down into the chamber and save in front of Volcarona.
This isn't a roaming legendary, so you won't want to use the Master Ball, as tempting as that level 70 might make it, especially combined with the already amazing moveset it has. I get the Mild nature, which isn't bad. Given it has Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz and a decent Fire type move, I would prefer something like Bold to patch up the stat it isn't boosting, but the Sp. Atk boost isn't something to scoff at either. It comes equipped with SilverPowder too. I don't really touch this moveset, but you can change Heat Wave for another fire type move, or give it something like Solar Beam if you want to run it under the sun.
I head to Big Stadium to test out Volcarona. There's new trainers postgame, and the activities depend on the day of the week. This was recorded either on a Wednesday/Saturday because of the American Footballers. Volcarona makes short work of everything, and I don' t bother with Quiver Dance for the most part. Honestly for the Elite Four Round 2 you don't need any training on this Volcarona with this moveset.
After sweeping aside the Stadium I head W to Route 5 and sell my mushrooms to the camper van lady for a nice cash injection.
I head to Mistralton to get rid of Strength on Excadrill, and then teach it X-Scissor, and swap out False Swipe on Haxorus for Shadow Claw - there's only
Back in Icirrus I also nab the Brick Break TM in the Pokécentre, which I missed after defeating the Gym Leader. I also have more stuff to sell to the mineral guy here.
After this I splurge on Carbos and Calcium for Volcarona and instantly use them to give it more of an immediate threat.
I finally head to the Dreamyard which has a new internal area in the E.
There's a lot of trainers here, and a lot of Psychic type for Volcarona.
There's a Twistedspoon in the SW. Haxorus gets some experience, and I Rare Candy her up to 66 to swap Dragon Claw for Outrage which is another massive buff to damage for it. Galvantula gets the Exp. Share next.
Head up at the SE to locate the second Sage who gives you the Swords Dance TM. Head to the last area for the rest of the treasures and then leave.
I save in Castelia City ready for the next par.
