All things considered, this is probably my best loved fruit due to a combination of flavour, beauty, cropping potential and storage. Kidd's can be susceptible to scab in a bad year. We have much less scab since we removed some trees to give the others more air and light, although we do apply fungicide spray 2 or 3 times a season.
These are not best eaten straight from the tree, a November to January fruit in our experience. We will start marketing them once the Lord Lambourne are finished, although teh period of ripening overlaps to some extent. Store somewhere cool, not too dry and well ventilated. Only attempt to store perfect fruit, any breaks in the skin will allow rot in.
