Theology Unleashed | Physicist and Vedanta Scholar Discuss "What is Matter?" @TheologyUnleashed | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 19 minutes ago.
Matter is often given as an explanation for phenomenon we observe, but what is matter really? In this episode Physicist Stephen M Barr and Vedanta Philosopher Akhandadhi Das examine this question. They also have something of a debate about whether animals and plants have the same kind of soul as humans.

Akhandadhi Das is a Vaishnava theologian, philosopher of mind, BBC Thought of the Day regular, and is very interested in the interaction of consciousness at all levels of reality. He has produced a YouTube series called "Atma Paradigm", and plans to produce writing on the subject.

"Dr. Stephen M Barr is an American physicist who is a professor emeritus of physics at the University of Delaware. A member of its Bartol Research Institute, Barr does research in theoretical particle physics and cosmology." His most notable book "Modern Physics and Ancient Faith" argues that Consciousness is fundamental and that Science is consistent with Theism.
