Dr. Ryan Mullins and Dr. Ricardo Silvestre discuss the Chaitanya Vaishnava conception of God, it's virtues and vices and compare it to western conceptions.
R.T. Mullins (PhD, University of St Andrews) has published over 30 essays on various topics in philosophical theology related to models of God, philosophy of time, personal identity, the problem of evil, disability theology, the Trinity, and the incarnation. He has published two books, The End of the Timeless God (Oxford University Press, 2016) and God and Emotion (Cambridge University Press, 2020). Mullins has held research and teaching fellowships at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Cambridge, the University of St Andrews, and the University of Edinburgh. He has now joined Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, University of Helsinki (Finland).
Ricardo Sousa Silvestre holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Montreal. He has been Visiting Scholar at the Universities of Oxford (UK), Notre Dame (USA) and Québec (Canada). He is the editor of the volume Beyond Faith and Rationality: Essays on Logic, Religion and Philosophy (Springer, 2020) and the author of several papers on Logic and Philosophy of Religion. He has edited a couple of special issues on the field of Logic and Religion, namely the special issues on the Concept of God (2019) and Formal Approaches to the Ontological Argument (2018) of the Journal of Applied Logics (College Publications), the special issue on Logic and Philosophy of Religion (2017) of Sophia: International Journal of Philosophy and Traditions (Springer) and the special issue on Logic and Religion (2017) of Logica Universalis (Springer). He is one of the creators and main organizers of the World Congress on Logic and Religion series. He is presently Associate Professor at Federal University of Campina Grande (Brazil).
