A phone booth sits at the Delta Motel in Winslow. These type were very popular in the mid-1950’s and 60’s but were still around in the 70’s too.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you dialed the number after you deposited the coins and depending on where you were calling and how long, an operator would speak and say, “deposit another 25 cents,” etc.
Please add any more info in the comments section for our further education.
I wanted to do a more elaborate video with more pics and information but my main computer has died. 12/12/25. Hope to get a new one.
