Philae Temple, located on Agilkia Island near Aswan, was a major spiritual site in Ancient Egypt. It is a stunning temple complex dedicated to the Goddess Isis and was the center of the Osiris-Isis myth. My guide Nour, who is an Egyptologist, explains to us the details of this myth. What's amazing is that this entire temple complex (60,000+ blocks) was moved here from a nearby location in the 1960's-1970's to prevent it from being flooded.
