Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode
“Two Prosecutors”. Interview with the director Sergey Loznitsa, interviewer Edvinas Pukšta.

This dramatic picture follows the career life of a young bolshevik in the year 1937. After having found a victim of the system, he sets off on a dangerous path, to make the Soviet Union a just place. But as we all know, that is not so simple.
Sergey Loznitsa is a Ukrainian filmmaker, whose filmography is wide: his career started with two feature films, which also premiered at PÖFF (2010, 2012) and then he started the journey of documentaries. Now, 13 years later he is back to feature films, and the movie is that good, that it was shown at the main programme at Cannes Film festival.

Tallinna Pimedate Ööde filmifestival toob teieni saate “Meet the filmmakers”, peaosas film “Kaks prokuröri”. Intervjuu filmi režissööri Sergey Loznitsaga, kellega vestles Edvinas Pukšta.

See dramaatiline film jälgib ühe noore kommunisti karjääri aastal 1937. Kui temani jõuab info inimesest, kes on süsteemi hammasrataste vahele jäänud, otsustab ta Nõukogude liidus õiguse jalule seada. Kuid nagu me kõik eeldada oskame, ei ole see lihtne asi teha.
Sergey Loznitsa on Ukraina režissöör, kelle filmograafiast leiab nii mängu- kui ka dokumentaalfilme. Tema karjääri algusest leiame kaks mängufilmi, mis on ka PÖFFil linastunud (2010, 2012). Peale mängufilme hakkas ta dokkfilme väntama. Nüüd, olles mängufilmide juurest mõni aeg eemal olnud, tegi ta nii hea comeback`i, et see valiti ka Cannes`i filmifestivali põhiprogrammi.
