Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode “Lotte & Totte-My First Friend”. Interview with the director Mia Fridthjof, interviewer Tõru Kannimäe.

Danish director and screenwriter Mia Fridthjof, whose films have screened at numerous international children’s and youth festivals, presents her warm and heartfelt animated film “Lotte & Totte-My First Friend” at PÖFF. The film is based on the beloved Swedish children’s book series about Lotte and Totte. Fridthjof’s work is known for its clear and empathetic storytelling from a child’s perspective, resonating with both young viewers and their parents.
In the film, young Lotte moves with her family to a new home and must adjust to a different environment and new faces. The energetic and brave neighbour boy Totte becomes her first true friend, teaching her trust, courage and forgiveness.
