Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode
“Days of Wonder”. Interview with the director Karin Pennanen, interviewer Mike Arnott.

This documentary is special for its personal relationship with the director. The protagonist of this movie is the director's uncle, also her childhood best friend, who has recently died. But what was left behind of him is the basis for this movie, a deep exploration of childhood, art, universal truths and meaning in life.
In some ways, the director of this movie can also feel like a character in this picture. The Finnish director Karin Pennanen graduated from a Norwegian film school in 2009 and since then has been a freelance director based in Helsinki. Her short movies have been invited to many film festivals all over the world.

See dokumentaalfilmi teeb eriliseks režissööri ja filmi omavaheline erakordselt isiklik suhe. Filmi peategelane on režissööri onu ja lapsepõlve aegne mängukaaslane, kes on hiljuti surnud, kuid kes jättis endast maha väärtusliku pärandi, mis on selle filmi aineseks saanud.
Mingis mõttes on selle filmi režissöör Karin Pennanen ka filmi üks tegelasist. Soome filmitegija lõpetas 2009ndal aastal Norras filmikooli ja on sellest ajast saati Helsingis tegutsenud vabakutselise režissöörina. Tema lühifilme on näidatnud festivalidel üle maailma.
