After decades of beating my head against the wall in arguments with people, I finally realized what Mark Twain knew: "You can't reason someone out of something that they weren't reasoned into in the first place." If NPCs are not thinking, what are they doing? NPCs are running lines of code! Lines of code that need debugging, I might add.
